Color plays an important role in my practice and through my own understanding of printmaking processes. This work is an embodiment of the exploration and transformation of myself using white and pink paint as physical masks on my body. I used a system of painting, photographing, and screen printing subsequently to build this book. I am considering the balance between information lost and information left in each image matrix as a result of the process. I use that system to understand the dialogue between the transformative color of white and the vocal color of pink.

Through the investigation of this color relationship, I have built a system of personal thinking that ultimately releases its ability to allow me to question other aspects of identity, mark-making, and photography and its interpersonal communication. The collection of prints and books that were made, are all reactionary to a subsequent work within this series.
